Kirk Canzano joined Long Beach City College's Business Administration department as a full-time faculty member in the Fall of 1999. He is a Certified Public Accountant with many years of business experience.In addition to working in public accounting with Ernst & Young, he has held executive positions in large multinational companies spanning a variety of industries.

His career background includes accounting, financial analysis, marketing analysis, financial planning, strategic planning, project management, and major information system implementations.

Brennan Carr began teaching at LBCC in 2007 as an adjunct professor in the Computer Applications and Office Technologies (CAOT) department where he teaches Business Communications courses both online and lecture. He also teaches business classes in the college's Business department.

Jim Cunningham is a full-time Professor of Real Estate at Long Beach City College . Professor Cunningham has been a real estate instructor with California community colleges on a full-time or part-time since 1988. Professor Cunningham has a Juris Doctor (law) degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver .

Professionally, Professor Cunningham has over 30 years of experience in real estate, including experience as an attorney specializing in real estate transactions, as a real estate property asset manager, as a real estate lender, and as a real estate broker. Professor Cunningham has been a California Real Estate Broker since 1988. Professor Cunningham has been a member of the California Bar since 1987 and of the Colorado Bar since 1984 (both currently inactive).

Professor Faulkner teaches in the International Business program. In addition to teaching, she develops enrichment activities for the students, such as internships, tours of the Port of Long Beach, video-taped mock interviews with local executives, and job shadowing with international business professionals. She has taken an active role in several educational technology projects and spoken at several conferences, such as TecEd, the League for Innovation, the Chancellor’s Office and the Society for the Advancement of Management.

Prior to joining the faculty at Long Beach City College, Professor Faulkner taught International Business and Marketing classes at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, a university in Mexico City. She has eight years of experience in various facets of International Business, including manufacturing, investments and construction equipment exports. Her academic training includes both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of International Management.

When Prof. Faulkner is not in the classroom or online, she keeps current in international affairs through research and travel.

Jeanie Harris-Farace

Jeanie Harris-Farace was hired at Long Beach City College in 1986 as a full time Travel/Tourism Instructor. She had been employed in the Tourism Industry for 15 years prior to that. She had worked in various capacities in several Travel Agencies, as well as owning one. She worked as a tour escort leading tours throughout the United States , Canada , Mexico , Europe , and the South Pacific. She also worked for a major Tour Operator, starting as a sales representative and worked her way up to a Regional Sales Manager. She was heavily involved in training and education in the Industry when she was hired at LBCC.

In addition to teaching, Jeanie has also been involved in many committees and was a Department Chair for the Distributive Education Department for 9 years. She was instrumental in many changes within the Department, along with the name change to the Tourism Department. The Tourism Department now consists of Baking, Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, and the Travel Industry. She has taught many Travel Industry and Hotel Management courses. She also teaches the ServSafe Sanitation course.

Jeanie began teaching in the Marketing Program in 2006. She currently teaches Salesmanship and Advertising.

Jeanie loves assisting students to gain the latest techniques and skills so that they become professionals in their positions. She describes her greatest accomplishments “as going out in the community and seeing her students employed in good jobs and enjoying themselves!”

Dr. Iazzetta has taught accounting full-time at Long Beach City College for twenty-two years. In addition, he has taught almost every course in the accounting curriculum at California State University Long Beach. Prior to joining the staff at Long Beach City College he was a criminal investigator for the Internal Revenue Service.

Professor Mc Mullen joined Long Beach City College in 2001 and is currently the Department Chair for the Department of Business Administration. Prior to joining LBCC, Mr. Mc Mullen spent a number of years as a part-time faculty member at the University of Southern California, Cal State Fullerton and Orange Coast College, teaching a variety of marketing, management and communication courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Prior to (and during) these teaching years, he spent 28 years in executive positions within the apparel industry. His professional experience includes retail management with the May Department Stores and sales/marketing management with such industry leaders as Quiksilver International, Samsung Americas and Pacific Coast Hwy sportswear. As President of BTB Sales & Marketing, he enjoys consulting and guest speaking to a variety of businesses and trade organizations.

Mr. Mc Mullen received an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BS in Marketing from Woodbury University and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Jim Noggle

Jim Noggle received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University at Los Angeles and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University. He is an active licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Jim began his career working for Ernst & Ernst (aka Ernst & Young), an International Certified Public Accounting firm. Jim was admitted to the Partnership and after serving at Ernst & Young for over 14 years he elected to leave his position as a Partner to capitalize on a tremendous opportunity in industry.

Since leaving Ernst & Young he has further broadened his experience by serving in the capacities of Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Administration to Chief Operations Officer for four different companies. He continues to consult in the areas of accounting, business planning, cash management and general business activities.

Jim has taught accounting classes as a full time faculty member at Long Beach City College since 2002. His previous teaching experience includes teaching accounting classes at Cypress College and California State University at Dominguez Hills. He has also taught classes and conducted seminars in auditing, accounting, business management, insurance claims administration, and professional staff development. Jim is a member of the California State Society of CPA’s, American Institute of CPA’s, the American College of Forensic Examiners and the Institute of Management Accountants (“IMA”).

Professor Verma is a full-time faculty member in the Business Department at Long Beach City College. He currently teaches Principles of Accounting: ACCTG 1A & 1B.

He received his doctorate from the University of Southern California (USC). A CPA, he also has a MS in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting (California State University, Long Beach, California), a MBA with concentration in Taxation and a Master of Engineering (Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada).

He has an extensive background as a teacher and as a practitioner, both as a CPA and as an engineer. In addition to his teaching at Long Beach City College since 1990, he has taught in the university systems for a number of years at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Professor Verma is a recipient of the Elijah Watts Sells award by the American Institute of CPAs and is very interested in student learning behaviors, particularly in the application of research findings in educational psychology to improve their learning.

Professor Wurtz began teaching at LBCC in 1983. He has a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University. His emphasis is taxation. He is currently licensed by the state of California as a Certified Public Accountant. He teaches financial and managerial accounting, income tax and business law at LBCC.
