Welcome to the web page for the Real Estate program at Long Beach City College . The program offers courses that meet the education requirements for entry into the real estate field as a:
- Real Estate Salesperson: requires successful completion of Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, and one elective real estate course;
- Real Estate Broker: requires successful completion of Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Practice, Real Estate Economics or a general Accounting course, and three elective real estate courses;
- Real Estate Appraiser Trainee and Residential Licenses: requires completion of 150 clock hours of education in specific appraisal topics, which can be satisfied by successful completion of the LBCC Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Appraisal, Advanced Real Estate Appraisal, and Real Estate Appraisal – USPAP courses.

| Curriculum Guides |
The courses in the Real Estate program also provide education that will help students enter into other real estate fields, including real estate lending, real estate property management, escrow, and title insurance. In addition, the Real Estate courses provide an opportunity for students already in the real estate field to update and upgrade their skills. The Real Estate program offers an Associate in Arts degree along with a Certificate of Achievement and several Certificates of Accomplishment.
